We are a nonprofit organization 501(c)(3) who specializes in Teaching Older Adults Digital Skills (TOADS).
What makes us different is our staff.
Our staff is a unique group of individuals; you see. Toads provides employment opportunities for developmentally different individuals such as those on the Autism Spectrum and with other Intellectual Disabilities
TOADS mission is to provide our team members the vocational skills necessary to become an integrated member of a workforce and attain fulfilling roles within the community. We will recognize success when we enable every team member the chance to achieve their highest quality of life, regardless of their intellectual and developmental abilities.
TOADS came about during the Pandemic. My mother-in-law felt very isolated by not being able to see family and got very frustrated when we were trying to teach her how to use technology. My, 16 year old son, Justin came to become her tech support. That’s when the light bulb came on!
Justin had been wanting to get a job but found it difficult, as many on the Autism Spectrum do AND my mother-in-law wanted someone to teach her how to use "technology." She said that she needed someone who could explain it at a pace she was comfortable and in such a way that she could understand (enter Justin) – voila’ TOADS was born!
Our team members will work with you and your specific goals in mind. We truly will customize each and every TOAD visit. From our initial intake call we will learn from you exactly what you are hoping to achieve.
Let us help you get TOAD-ALLY "tech" savvy!
